From luxury to an overnight bus trip! From KL to Perhentian Islands

Having spent the last two nights in a luxury studio apartment that we found via Airbnb (complete with a rooftop pool!) we know we’re going to struggle with the 7-8 hour overnight bus trip tomorrow to get to the East Coast of Malaysia.

We’ve decided it’s time to check out some islands and go snorkeling so we will be bus-ing it and then taking a speedboat to Pulau (island) Perhentian and then Pulau Redang.

This will also be the first time where we won’t have already booked accommodation – currently we’ve been booking one or two days in advance using each hostel’s pretty fast Internet.

According to the Internet machine, there will be a few beach huts available to rent on a first come, first served basis. Considering it’s the weekend, we’re really risking not having anywhere to stay when we get there, but hey, we’ll see what happens!!

We also may not have the Internet so might not update for a bit…
