Run by a Laotian couple with their two children, this is a highly organized guesthouse. There are only about 10 rooms and each are located within the same building were the young family also live.

The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. The bedding was white and we did not use our sleep sheets.

Nangnoi rents motorbikes out at 60,000 kip a day, or 50,000 kip if you take it for a few days. They also provide a drawn map of the roads and surrounding towns if you are organizing a motorbike loop.

There is also a very secure luggage room, and two showers/toilets downstairs that can be used once checked out and waiting for a night bus/train.

Breakfast was not included, and a bit overpriced (5,000 kip for a sliver of butter!) but the French bread they sold convinced us to eat there every morning.

The couple are quite helpful but can seem condescending. This may be due to the amount of tourists coming through and asking the same questions but Lionel wasn’t too keen on them.

They also sell bus tickets and can arrange tuk tuks. We booked a ticket at the bus station ourselves, and only saved 5,000 kip so Nangnoi’s prices do seem reasonable.

I would stay there again. Definitely book ahead as they can get very busy during the high season with people traveling through to Don Det (4,000 Islands).

Sorry for the late reply! We’ve been busy diving! We walked in and asked for a room. It was very busy, and on the first night they didn’t have a room for us so we stayed elsewhere. I then asked them to hold a room for us the following week after our motorbike trip. It was a small family owned place, so no internet presence. Maybe if another reader has a phone number for Nangnoi I can post it here! Good luck!
